Another year gone, and we paid another visit to our favourite place for deep water game fishing where sport fishes like amberjacks, dogtooths and rubies abound. Purely a jigging trip, the trip on board the Starfish was a much anticipated event.
First Blood. Amberjack from 200m of water.
On the Shout! Shab Shab 300gm.
Another fish on not long after.
Nice Flame Snapper from the deep.

Shab Shab again.
All smiles as dinner was pulled up.
A good size ruby taken on a Fisherman Andaman.
Night came and it was time to break out the lighter gear for midwater baby doggies. IMA Ro worked fast to snag this baby.
Ripple Fisher rod bent on this puppy with the Hots Y2 jig.
When the doggies eventually tire of chasing jigs, the venerable Jackson Pintail became the saving grace for an otherwise fishless night. The Pintail Tune 50 worked fast with some twitches soon restore the bites.
It was literally one cast one fish after that with the Pintail starting to put bends into the rods.
Dogtooth on a Pintail would be another first in this part of our waters.
We soon lost count of the number of doggies pulled up that night.
Some tongkols decided to join the party.
Along with some Big Eye Jacks well in to the early mornings.
To be continued...
